We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our sales team selling the company's range of digital video hardware and software products, digital video cards and systems and associated products to VARs, dealers, OEMs and systems integrators. The position will be at our San Diego office and suit a well motivated, outgoing computer/electronics sales person seeking a challenging and varied position. The successful applicant will work well under pressure, be a team player and have excellent customer liaison skills both in person and over the telephone. Experience in a similar sales environment will be a distinct advantage. Some technical knowledge is desirable but not essential. Salary range $60-77K$ plus full benfits

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer at DVEO , you will be an essential part of our development team. You will join a team providing international customers with world-class technical solutions for transport of professional video over IP.

In this position you will:

• Participate in all project phases from anaysis and design to implementation and testing.
• Work with the latest technologies
• You will develop applications software from low level drivers for hardware devices to high-level management applications.
  

Required Skills:

It is absolutely essential that you have:

• Experience in C++
• Interest in real-time software development
• Enthusiasm about new technologies
  

It is desired that you have:

• Knowledge of video and video transport (DVB, MPEG2 or MPEG4)
• Knowledge of IP networking protocols and techniques (including TCP, SNMP, RTP, multicasting, routing).
